And you can help us spread the word!
This year is a very special one for Omilo: we are celebrating our 30th anniversary!
Thirty years of teaching Greek, sharing Greek culture, exploring beautiful places together, and, most importantly, meeting thousands of wonderful students from all over the world.
If you recently enjoyed an Omilo course in Greece, we hope you had a fantastic time!
From word of mouth to the online world
When Omilo started 30 years ago, the world looked very different.
There was no internet, no social media, no Google Reviews, no online advertising and certainly no Artificial Intelligence!
Most new students heard about Omilo from a friend, colleague or former student.
In many ways, word of mouth built Omilo.
Today, recommendations are still incredibly important, but they often happen online.
And this is where you can make a real difference.
Marketing has never been our favourite part of the job.
We would much rather spend our time teaching Greek, organising cultural activities and creating memorable experiences in Greece.
But if we want Omilo to continue welcoming Greek learners for another 10, 20 or even 30 years, we need to make it easier for future students to discover us.
And nobody can tell the Omilo story better than our students.

How to Enter Our Prize Draw & get an anniversary discount
There is a simple way you can help: share your Omilo experience in a short testimonial.
It doesn’t need to be long.
A few sentences about your Greek course, your Greek online lessons, the teachers, an Omilo eBook you used, activities, location or your overall experience, etc…
any feedback can help someone who is considering learning Greek in Greece make their decision.
Your own words and experiences are much more meaningful than anything we could say about ourselves.

A small anniversary thank-you from us
Of course, we would also like to give something back.
Everyone who leaves a testimonial will automatically be entered into the anniversary prize draw closest to the date of their submission.
The prize draws will take place on 15 August 2026, 15 October 2026, 15 January 2027 and 15 April 2027.
Each winner can choose one of three prizes:
- €100 discount on a future 1- or 2-week Omilo course
- 3 free online Greek lessons
- 3 Omilo publications of their choice

Register from today for any Omilo Athens course taking place between November 2026 and April 2027, and receive a €50 anniversary discount.
Simply enter the code OMILO30DISCOUNT in the notes section of the registration form when you register.
And then all that remains is to start looking forward to learning Greek in Athens!
Option 2: Introduce a friend to Omilo
Already part of the Omilo community but can’t join us in Athens yourself?
You can still take advantage of our anniversary celebrations by introducing Omilo to a friend, family member, colleague or fellow Greece lover who would like to learn Greek.
When a new student (=someone who has never attended an Omilo course before)registers for an Athens course through your recommendation, you both receive a special anniversary thank-you:
- Your friend receives a €30 discount on their first Omilo course in Athens.
- You receive a €50 Omilo credit, which you can use towards any 1- or 2-week Omilo course in 2027, at any Omilo location.
- Alternatively, you can choose a €50 voucher for Omilo eBooks and publications.
To participate, simply ask your friend to write your name and the code OMILO30STUDENT on their registration form.
You can also send us a short email with the name of the new student you have recommended.
Once the new student’s advance payment has been received, we’ll take care of the rest!
