Your data are stored securely and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
1. Identification and ownership
Omilo.com is a website owned by “Omilo Greek Language and Culture”.
Omilo was founded in 1996 and has many years of experience in the Greek language sector to counsel international students who wish to study the Greek language and learn more about Greek Culture.
When we refer to “Omilo”, “we”, “us” or “the service” we mean the “Omilo Greek Language and Culture” entity that acts as the controller or processor of your information.
2. Personal Data
2.1. What Personal Data do we collect when you visit the omilo.com website
Most of our services do not require any form of registration, allowing you to visit our site without telling us who you are. However, some services may require you to provide us with Personal Data. (name, email address….)
Information entered in forms
There are pages with forms where you can request information, receive an eBook or Newsletter. The type of personal information that is collected in these forms includes name, surname, email, telephone, level of Greek and sometimes credit card information (only when you buy an eBook or want to pay for a course and select credit card as a means of payment).
For those services, if you choose to withhold any Personal Data requested by us, it may not be possible for you to register for a course or gain access to certain parts of the site and for us to respond to the query. (For ex. registration for a Greek language course, downloading free eBooks, subscribing to the monthly newsletter, membership sign up)
Collection of user data on a registration form for booking a language course in Greece.
For the correct processing of enrolments and course reservations, we use an online registration form. For those forms, we collect data such as: first name, surname, email address, postal code, place of residence, telephone number, nationality, language, gender, profession, date of birth. This information is used by omilo.com to identify the student and to provide him/her with support, services, mailings, billing and to meet contractual obligations.
Also, for our language courses, it helps us to decide how we will teach a class or form a class, by asking you your age, gender, mother tongue, profession, language level, etc…These are all factors that many times gives us more background information on how we could teach our language lessons, in order to get better results.
If you prefer we delete those data after you have attended a course, you can simply contact us at info@omilo.com.

We love taking photos of students enjoying their Language experience at Omilo. This way other potential students see how it is to study with Omilo. Some of these photos are also used on our website, our blog, our brochure or on a website or brochure of an organization who promotes our courses. We never tag photos or mention names.
If you explicitly do not want to be on any of these photos, please let us know in advance by email and/or at the school director on the first day of your course. Whenever anybody of the school staff or teachers takes a photo and you don’t want to be on it, you just remind the person taking the photo, and the photo will be deleted. If you forgot to mention it, and you see a photo of yourself online, which you prefer not to be, then write us an email and we will delete that photo on your request.
