On May 2nd, 2020, we wrote an update email, on how Omilo is dealing with the corona crisis, as well as the situation in Greece. We also suggested to our students, from all over the world, to write their “story”, on how they deal with the corona months, at home.

η Ελλάδα μπήκε σε lockdown και έτσι η ομάδα του Ομιλώ βρέθηκε να δουλεύει από το σπίτι!
Η ομάδα του Omilo περνάει πολύ χρόνο στο σπίτι τελευταία και φανταζόμαστε (και ελπίζουμε) ότι κάνετε και εσείς το ίδιο. Είναι πολύ σημαντικό το να μένουμε σπίτι λαμβάνοντας υπόψη μας όλα όσα συμβαίνουν. Παράλληλα, φροντίζουμε να κάνουμε ενδιαφέροντα πράγματα! Για αυτό θα θέλαμε να σας παρουσιάσουμε ένα αστείο και χαρωπό ελληνικό τραγούδι που μιλάει για – τι άλλο! – το να μένει κανείς σπίτι.

Χαίρετε!
Κατ’ αρχάς θα θέλαμε να σας ευχηθούμε να έχετε καλή υγεία! «Υγεία να υπάρχει!».
Έχουμε λάβει πολλά email τις τελευταίες εβδομάδες όπου μας ρωτάνε τι κάνουμε για την κρίση του κορονοϊού και πώς την αντιμετωπίζουμε. Έτσι αποφασίσαμε να γράψουμε ένα άρθρο σχετικά με αυτό.
People learning Greek, as a hobby, are really special, and you do not meet them every day! However, Omilo was founded in 1996 and has welcomed so many students from every corner in the world, all wanting to learn Greek.
Over the years, we have heard the most amazing reasons why somebody wants to learn Greek, which we could never have imagined 🙂

Kalo taksidi, dear Dora..
23/2/2014 : a sad day… Here a special tribute to Dora Stoimenidou, who was a very good friend, partner, colleague and one of the beloved Omilo teachers for 13 years. Dora was teaching during 85% of all the Omilo courses between 1999 and 2011, so most of the Omilo students have met her or had Dora as their teacher during that period.
