Which is the most important meal of the day? Of course, it‘s the breakfast 😉
Although most Greeks do not really eat a big Greek breakfast or any breakfast at all, slowly slowly things are changing. More and more hotels in Greece now understand the value of breakfast and more and more Greeks also start discovering how many products they actually have to enjoy the most delicious breakfast.

The summer season started again, and already during the month of June,  we experienced the first heatwave of 2021. Higher temperatures than normal, and no wind.
The lack of wind does not help with cooling down, but at least it is better to avoid wildfires.
Every Greek knows that high temperatures in combination with strong winds, unfortunately often lead to wildfires.
We keep our fingers crossed that this summer the forests and villages will be spared from wildfires.
On the other hand, it is advised to know how to react in case you find yourself close to a fire. Something we unfortunately never learn in school…but it is important!

Ας μάθουμε λίγα πράγματα για την περιοχή της Φθιώτιδας στην Ελλάδα!

We are happy to announce that a new experienced teacher, Myrto Yfanti,  starts working at Omilo.
Myrto already was teaching for Omilo during the September 2020 course on the island of Syros and was very enthusiastic to meet so many interested students, from all over the world.

We are hopeful we can start teaching the 1- and 2-week intensive courses again from June 2021 onward on the island of Lefkada and Syros, and then Myrto will join the Omilo-team.

Every teacher at Omilo has a different teaching style, as well as a different background 🙂
Myrto grew up in a small village in the prefecture of Fthiotida, the village of Giannitsou.
For those participating in our Online Cultural Event, you will learn more about this region during her online presentation; Weiterlesen
