Lefkada, also called Lefkas, is a beautiful Greek island in the Ionian Sea on the west coast of Greece; south of Corfu, and North of Kefalonia island.
The island is connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge.

The Rio-Antirrio Bridge is one of te world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge. It crosses the Gulf of Corinth near Patras, linking the town of Rio on the Peloponnese to Antirrio on mainland Greece. For students taking a course in Lefkada and travelling from Athens, they will need to cross this bridge.

Lefkada and Scorpios belong to the Ionian islands.  Scorpios is a small island of 800 km2, very close to the east of Lefkada island, which was owned by the Onassis family till May 2013.
