A Greek Recipe – Giouvarlakia (Greek Meatballs with egg-lemon sauce) is a great dish , now that the autumn season has started, temperatures go down and along with that, light summer dishes switch to warm winter recipes.
\nThe Greek kitchen has amazing salads, fish, and seafood for hot days, but when it is getting colder, Greek people prefer oven dishes, warm soups, and meat.<\/p>\n

Ingredients for giouvarlakia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

500 grams minced meat (beef or half-half beef + pork)
\n1 cup of peeled rice
\n1 large grated onion
\nFinely chopped parsley
\nFinely chopped dill
\n1 egg
\nOlive oil
\nSalt & pepper<\/p>\n

For the egg & lemon sauce<\/em>
\n1-2 eggs
\nJuice from 1-2 lemons<\/p>\n

Instructions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
\n2. Make small meatballs.
\n3. Bring water to boil in a pan.
\n4. Put the meatballs in the water with some olive oil and salt.
\n5. Boil them at 100 degrees for about 20 minutes.
\n6. Take the pan off the fire.<\/p>\n

Egg & lemon sauce<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Beat the egg white(s)\u00a0 with a mixer.
\n2. Add the yolk(s) and beat again.
\n3. Add the lemon juice while beating the mixture.
\n4. Pour some hot gravy from the meatballs in the sauce.
\n5. Pour the sauce in the pan with the meatballs and stir.<\/p>\n
