Die Stadt war von 1828 bis 1834 die erste Hauptstadt des modernen Griechenlands, was man an vielen Bauwerken noch erkennen kann. Heutzutage hat sie als ruhiger, angenehmer Badeort eine entspanntere Rolle inne. Sollten Sie nur wenig Zeit haben, finden Sie untenstehend einige Orte in und um Nafplion, die in jedem Fall einen Abstecher wert sind. Viele dieser Orte k\u00f6nnen auch nachmittags oder abends besichtigt werden. Es ist daher ganz unkompliziert m\u00f6glich, die Sprachkurse am Vormittag mit einer Besichtigung am Nachmittag zu kombinieren und so aus Ihrem Aufenthalt die perfekte Verbindung aus Unterricht und Stadterkundung zu machen!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Der Syntagma Platz<\/h3>\n<p>Der mit Marmor gepflasterte und von historischen Geb\u00e4uden ums\u00e4umte Hauptplatz hei\u00dft \u201cSyntagma\u201d-Platz (gr. Syntagma=Verfassung). Rund um den Platz, der inmitten einer Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzone gelegen ist, finden Sie angenehmes Treiben, Stra\u00dfencaf\u00e9s, Schmuck und Souvenir-Gesch\u00e4fte, herrliche B\u00e4ckereien und viele Bars und Restaurants.<\/p>\n<h3>Die Palamidi-Festung<\/h3>\n<p>Vom Hauptplatz und der Schule, in der die Omilo-Kurse stattfinden, k\u00f6nnen Sie auf einer Anh\u00f6he die Palamidi-Festung sehen. Sie wurde Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts (1686 \u2013 1715) von den Venezianern erbaut und ist 216 Meter hoch. Sie k\u00f6nnen die Festung bequem mit dem Auto besichtigen &#8211; oder wenn Sie mutiger sind &#8211; die 999 Stufen auch zu Fu\u00df erklimmen.<\/p>\n<h3>Ufer-Promenade<\/h3>\n<p>Vom Syntagma-Platz gibt es die M\u00f6glichkeit, zu einem zweiten gro\u00dfen Platz am Meer zu flanieren. An der Uferpromenade k\u00f6nnen Sie dort in malerischem Ambiente bis zum Hafen spazieren. Es ist ein ruhiger ansprechender Ort, an dem man den Sonnenuntergang bewundern oder einfach nur eine angenehme Brise Meeresluft einatmen kann.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div class=\"flex_column av_four_fifth  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  avia-builder-el-17  el_after_av_four_fifth  avia-builder-el-last  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>Bourtzi<\/h3>\n<p>Inmitten des Hafens befindet sich die Festung Bourtzi, die im Sommer auch mit dem Boot besichtigt werden kann. Bourtzi blickt auf eine bewegte Geschichte zur\u00fcck. So diente sie in der Vergangenheit bereits als Gef\u00e4ngnis oder Hotel. Momentan ist sie Austragungsort des Musikfestivals von Nafplio, das im Juni stattfindet und sowohl griechische als auch internationale K\u00fcnstlerInnen darbietet.<\/p>\n<h3>Strand<\/h3>\n<p>Der Stadtstrand befindet sich nur 300m von Omilo entfernt, gleich auf der anderen Seite von Akronauplia. Ein weiterer empfehlenswerter langer Sandstrand ist Karathona, 2km au\u00dferhalb von Nafplio. Man kommt zu Karathona \u00fcber einen wundsch\u00f6nen K\u00fcstenweg, der nur f\u00fcr Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger ge\u00f6ffnet ist (er ist aber auch mit dem Auto \u00fcber eine Umfahrungsstra\u00dfe erreichbar).<\/p>\n<h3>Akronauplia<\/h3>\n<p>Akronauplia ist der \u00e4lteste Teil der Stadt. Bis zur Besetzung der Venezianer und Franken im 13. Jahrhundert befand sich hier der bewohnte obere Stadtteil. Hinter Acronauplia befindet sich ein sch\u00f6n gepflasterter Weg mit einem spektakul\u00e4ren Ausblick auf die K\u00fcste.<\/p>\n<h3>Rund um Nafplio<\/h3>\n<p>Auch au\u00dferhalb der Stadt gibt es sehr viele interessante arch\u00e4ologische St\u00e4tten zu erkunden: Die gesamte Halbinsel Argolis (der Daumen der peloponnesischen Hand), Mykene, Epidaurus, Argos, Nemea und Korinth sind einfach mit \u00f6ffentlichen Bussen oder dem Auto zu erreichen. Es gibt auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, sie mit Reisef\u00fchrern zu buchen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16289 size-large\"
